Evansville Reitz Panthers (Evansville, IN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Owensboro Catholic Aces (Owensboro, KY), 62-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Evansville Reitz upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jeffersonville (Jeffersonville, IN) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Jeffersonville lost 89-77 in their recent non-league bout against Ballard (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Aces play the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) in a District 9 bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Owensboro Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 20-3 season record.
