Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN), 61-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hammond Morton upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Governors travel to Harrison (West Lafayette, IN) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Harrison lost 84-69 in their recent league bout against Marion (Marion, IN)

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Lowell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 63-57 league win over Tipton (Tipton, IN).
