Wisconsin High School Basketball - Hayward nips St. Croix Falls
February 16, 2024: St. Croix Falls, WI 54024 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) and the host St. Croix Falls Saints (St. Croix Falls, WI), saw Hayward's basketball squad hold off St. Croix Falls by a tally of 48-42.
With the victory, Hayward improves its record to 5-18 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Ladysmith (Ladysmith, WI) to play the Lumberjacks in a Heart O'North challenge on Thursday, February 22. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 17-5.
Next up, the Saints play the Grantsburg Pirates (Grantsburg, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 19. St. Croix Falls will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 59-57 league loss to Shell Lake (Shell Lake, WI).
