Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE), 64-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chase County upgrades its record to 5-17 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Cozad (Cozad, NE) to play the Haymakers in a C1 District 11 bout on Monday, February 20. The Haymakers come into the bout with a record of 13-12. Cozad lost 54-45 in their recent non-league bout against McCook (McCook, NE)

Next up, the Sailors play the St. Patrick's Irish (North Platte, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Sutherland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Irish come into the bout with a 8-15 record after their 54-44 non-league win over Paxton (Paxton, NE).
