Wisconsin High School Basketball - Washburn overwhelms Butternut
February 17, 2023: Butternut, WI 54514 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) and the host Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI), saw Washburn's basketball squad wallop Butternut by a tally of 77-7.
With the victory, Washburn improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Castle Guards travel to Northwood (Minong, WI) to confront the Evergreens in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 20. The Evergreens come into the challenge with a record of 8-12. Northwood won 76-55 in their recent league challenge against Turtle Lake (Turtle Lake, WI)
Next up, the Midgets confront the Bayfield Trollers (Bayfield, WI) in a Indianhead challenge, on Thursday, February 23. Butternut will attempt to improve on its 1-22 season record. The Trollers come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 65-63 league loss to Mellen (Mellen, WI).
