Texas High School Softball - Georgetown nudges Grand Oaks
February 17, 2023: Spring, TX 77386 Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grand Oaks Grizzlies (Spring, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Friendswood for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. Georgetown will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Grand Oaks falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Caney Creek (Conroe, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Caney Creek lost 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Crosby (Crosby, TX)
