Texas High School Softball - Weslaco can't hold off Pioneer
February 17, 2023: Weslaco, TX 78596 The Pioneer Diamondbacks softball team scored 2 runs and limited the host Weslaco Panthers to 1 in the Diamondbacks non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Pioneer improves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Diamondbacks travel to Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league game on Saturday, February 18. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 0-2. Hidalgo lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Nixon (Laredo, TX)
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 23. Weslaco will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 6-1 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Warren (San Antonio, TX).
