The North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) basketball nipped the host Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN), 53-52 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Thunderbirds (19-10) will now prepare for their test against Lanesville (Lanesville, IN). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 26-1 record. In their last test, Lanesville got by Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN), 48-31, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 16-11 record.
