Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Sabercats now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seguin for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Vela will face a Matadors squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 4-1.
