Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Enterprise for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22.

With the loss, Pisgah falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league game on Saturday, February 17. The Rockets come into the game with a record of 0-0.
