Texas High School Softball - Vela topped by Seguin
February 17, 2024: Seguin, TX 78155 The Seguin Matadors softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Vela Sabercats to 1 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Seguin moves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Matadors host Bandera (Bandera, TX) to clash with the BULLDOGS in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 20. The BULLDOGS come into the game with a record of 2-5. Bandera lost 1-0 in their recent non-league game against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
In their next game, the Sabercats clash with the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 game, on Tuesday, February 20. Vela will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Javelinas come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Burges (El Paso, TX).
