Connecticut High School Basketball - Newington holds off Enfield
February 18, 2022: Enfield, CT 06082 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) and the host Enfield Eagles (Enfield, CT), saw Newington's basketball squad hold off Enfield by a tally of 51-45.
With the victory, Newington improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Nor'easters travel to Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT) to confront the Eagles in a Central Connecticut - North Colonial challenge on Tuesday, February 22. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. Wethersfield lost 69-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Hall (West Hartford, CT)
Next up, the Eagles confront the RHAM Raptors (Hebron, CT) in a Central Connecticut - East Patriot challenge, on Tuesday, February 22. Enfield will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 69-59 non-league loss to Conard (West Hartford, CT).
