The Hammond Tornadoes basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Ponchatoula Green Wave to 41 in the Tornadoes league victory on Friday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 18-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Iberville for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 19. Hammond will battle a Tigers team coming off a 67-59 non-league loss to Brusly (Brusly, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 9-5.
