George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), 50-36 in a league bout.

With the win, George Washington upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season.

Next up, the Highlanders play the Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 22. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 45-41 league win over Spring Valley (Huntington, WV).
