New Mexico High School Basketball - Aztec thwarts Kirtland Central
February 18, 2025: Aztec, NM 87410 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM) and the visiting Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM), observed Aztec's basketball team knock off Kirtland Central by a score of 67-51.
The Tigers (9-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Bengals come into the 4A District 1 challenge with a 14-11 record. In their last challenge, Gallup prevailed over Shiprock (Shiprock, NM), 61-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Broncos encounter the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 21. Kirtland Central will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 13-12 record after their 41-39 league loss to Miyamura (Gallup, NM).
