February 18, 2025: Maroa, IL 61756 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) and the visiting Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), observed Maroa-Forsyth's basketball team knock off Riverton by a score of 63-47.
The Trojans (12-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 17-10 record. In their last challenge, Rochester dropped by Springfield (Springfield, IL), 56-45, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL) in a Tomahawk challenge, on Friday, February 21. Riverton will attempt to improve on its 20-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-14 record after their 61-26 league loss to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL).
