Maine High School Basketball - Spruce Mountain holds off Lincoln Academy
February 19, 2022: Newcastle, ME 04553 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) and the host Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME), saw Spruce Mountain's basketball squad hold off Lincoln Academy by a tally of 44-42.
With the victory, Spruce Mountain improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Oceanside (Rockland, ME) to confront the Mariners in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 22. The Mariners come into the challenge with a record of 17-0. Oceanside won 60-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME)
