The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) basketball crushed the host Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD), 75-43 in Monday's non-league test.

The Miners (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Southern (Oakland, MD). The Rams go into the Appalachian test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Southern walloped Northern (Accident, MD), 60-34, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Morgantown Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 20.
