Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD), 74-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Long Reach upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD) in a Carroll County bout, on Friday, February 24. South Carroll will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 69-61 non-league loss to Atholton (Columbia, MD).
