February 20, 2023: Riverview, MI 48192 The Garden City Cougars (Garden City, MI) basketball nipped the host Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI), 44-41 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cougars (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Cabrini (Allen Park, MI). The Monarchs go into the non-league test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Cabrini got by Summerfield (Petersburg, MI), 50-41, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Canton Preparatory for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 21. Richard will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 33-27 non-league win over Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 12-4.
