Louisiana High School Softball - Mt. Carmel nudges Walker
February 20, 2024: New Orleans, LA 70124 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting Walker Wildcats (Walker, LA), saw Mt. Carmel's softball squad nip Walker by a count of 3-2.
The Cubs now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Slidell for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 21. Mt. Carmel will face a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Walker falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Doyle (Livingston, LA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Thursday, February 22. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 2-2. Doyle won 13-2 in their recent non-league match against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA)
