The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) and the visiting Ramona Convent Tigers (Alhambra, CA), observed Marquez's softball squad nip Ramona Convent by a score of 4-1.

With the triumph, Marquez improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Marshall (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Barristers in a non-league contest on Monday, February 23. The Barristers enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

The Tigers now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rio Hondo Prep for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 24.
