The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Covington Cougars to 23 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Maroons now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern Montgomery for a non-league contest on Friday, February 24. George Wythe will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 43-38 non-league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-5.
