South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 70-59 in a league bout.

With the win, South Stanly upgrades its record to 21-4 on the season. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls host North Stanly (New London, NC) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 23. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 19-6. North Stanly won 60-51 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC)
