Georgia High School Baseball - South Effingham edges Oglethorpe County
February 21, 2025: Guyton, GA 31312 In Friday's non-league game, the host South Effingham Mustangs baseball team scored a close 8-5 win over the Oglethorpe County Patriots.
The Mustangs (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Terrors go into the 5A Area 1 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Glynn Academy by Tift County (Tifton, GA), 6-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Patriots play the Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 22. Oglethorpe County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Redskins go into the game with a 2-3 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Liberty County (Hinesville, GA).
