In Friday's league contest, the host New Town Eagles basketball team scored a good 77-69 triumph over the Turtle Mountain Braves.

The Eagles (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Nedrose (Minot, ND). The Cardinals go into the A Region 3 contest with a 1-19 record. In their last contest, Nedrose was topped by South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 66-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Braves battle the Dunseith Dragons (Dunseith, ND) in a A Region 3 contest, on Friday, February 28. Turtle Mountain will attempt to better on its 4-16 season record.
