The Cuero Gobblers got by the visiting Ingleside Mustangs baseball team by a count of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Gobblers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Schulenburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 24. Cuero will play a Shorthorns team coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Falls City (Falls City, TX). The Shorthorns record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Ingleside drops to 1-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX) to encounter the Lions in a non-league outing on Monday, February 23.
