Georgia High School Baseball - Walton sneaks past Northgate
February 21, 2026: Marietta, GA 30062 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA) and the visiting Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA), saw Walton's baseball team get by Northgate by a tally of 8-7.
The Raiders (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA). The Warriors come into the AAAAAA Region 5 contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, North Cobb was edged by Woodland (Cartersville, GA), 12-4, in a non-league contest.
The Vikings now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sandy Creek for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 24. Northgate will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Dutchtown (Hampton, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-1.
