Alabama High School Softball - Gulf Shores falls to Bryant
February 22, 2021: Irvington, AL 36544 In Monday's non-league outing, the host Bryant Hurricanes softball team scored a nice 17-7 win over the Gulf Shores Dolphins.
Coming up next, the Hurricanes battle the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, February 23. Bryant will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record.
The Dolphins (0-3) will now prepare for their outing against Baldwin County (Bay Minette, AL). The Tigers enter the 6A Area 2 outing with a 0-0 record.
Game Summary
Two five run innings lift the Canes in a shoot out against the Dolphins. The Canes won despite giving seven free passes. Gail Wisher (1-0) got the win on the mound allowing only one hit with four strikeouts. Emma Hudson paced the Canes hitting attack with three hits including a double and a grand slam to shut the door on the Dolphins. Bryant grabs its second win of the season bringing their record to 2-0.
