In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Wellsville Eagles basketball team scored a decisive 71-33 triumph over the Iola Mustangs.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Prairie View Buffalos (La Cygne, KS) in a Pioneer match, on Thursday, February 24. Wellsville will attempt to better on its 15-4 season record. The Buffalos enter the match with a 8-11 record after their 44-23 non-league win over Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS).

With the defeat, Iola moves to 5-14 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Thursday, February 24.
