Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Prout held off by Bishop Hendricken
February 22, 2023: Wakefield, RI 02879 In Wednesday's league challenge, the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) ice hockey team nudged the host Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI), by a margin of 4-3.
The Hawks now possess a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Kingstown for a State Championship Division challenge on Friday, February 24. Bishop Hendricken will clash with a Skippers team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 1-15.
The Crusaders (13-9) will now prepare for their challenge against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Rams enter the State Championship Division challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, La Salle Academy tipped New Canaan (New Canaan, CT), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
