The Canton South Wildcats (Canton, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH), 57-56 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Canton Central Catholic (Canton, OH). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Canton Central Catholic got by Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH), 71-63, in a non-league test.

The Dukes now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to Struthers for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. Marlington will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 63-39 non-league loss to Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-11.
