The West Marion Trojans baseball squad (Foxworth, MS), was overwhelmed 7-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS)

With the triumph, Poplarville moves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to West Jones (Laurel, MS) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 25. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 3-2. West Jones won 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Stringer (Stringer, MS)

The Trojans now possess a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 25. West Marion will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.
