In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Nashville Hornets basketball team scored a good 56-43 win over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights.

The Hornets (21-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 21-9 record. In their last contest, Mater Dei defeated Granite City (Granite City, IL), 46-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 24. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to better on its 17-11 season record.
