West Virginia High School Basketball - Preston can't hold off Tygarts Valley

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs (Mill Creek, WV) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 56-54 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Tygarts Valley advances its record to 11-8 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Harman (Harman, WV) to play the Panthers in a Potomac Valley bout on Monday, February 24. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Harman lost 62-26 in their recent league bout against Pendleton County (Franklin, WV)

With the loss, Preston falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Knights host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to play the Minutemen in a Big Ten bout on Monday, February 24. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Lewis County won 91-28 in their recent non-league bout against Liberty (Clarksburg, WV)
