February 22, 2025: Ariton, AL 36311 Straughn Tigers (Andalusia, AL) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), 7-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Straughn upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Kinston (Kinston, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, February 22. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 3-0. Kinston won 6-0 in their recent non-league game against Slocomb (Slocomb, AL)
The Purple Cats now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Geneva for a non-league game on Monday, February 24. Ariton will play a Panthers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
