Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA) and the host Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA), saw Briar Woods's basketball squad hold off Massaponax by a count of 49-45.

With the victory, Briar Woods upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 25-3. Patrick Henry won 43-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA)
