Georgia High School Soccer - New Hampstead overwhelmed by Islands
February 23, 2023: Savannah, GA 31419 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) and the host New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA), saw Islands's soccer squad triumph over New Hampstead by a margin of 6-0.
The Sharks now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Savannah Country Day for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 28. Islands will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over St. Andrew's (Savannah, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, New Hampstead drops to 2-4 on the season. The Phoenix host Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a 4A Region 3 test on Thursday, March 2. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 6-0.
