In Friday's non-league challenge, the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) baseball squad edged the visiting West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS), by a final score of 2-1.

With the win, East Central upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Hornets host Biloxi (Biloxi, MS) to encounter the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Biloxi won 11-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Germantown (Madison, MS)

With the defeat, West Harrison falls to 0-3 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS) to encounter the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24.
