Mississippi High School Baseball - Leake Academy nips Newton County Academy
February 23, 2024: Madden, MS 39109 Leake Academy Rebels (Madden, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), 6-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Leake Academy upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Rebels travel to St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS) to battle the Bruins in a non-league test on Monday, February 26. The Bruins come into the test with a record of 6-0. St. Joseph Catholic won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Enterprise (Enterprise, MS)
