Oregon High School Basketball - Astoria topped by Philomath
February 23, 2024: Philomath, OR 97370 The Philomath Warriors basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Astoria Fishermen to 57 in the Warriors non-league victory on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshfield for a non-league contest on Friday, March 1. Philomath will battle a Pirates team coming off a 50-33 non-league loss to Pendleton (Pendleton, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 15-10.
The Fishermen (18-6) will now prepare for their contest against Henley (Klamath Falls, OR). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 14-8 record. In their last contest, Henley prevailed over Phoenix (Phoenix, OR), 53-51, in a league contest.
