In Friday's non-league outing, the Norwell Knights (Ossian, IN) basketball squad edged the host Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN), by a margin of 49-43.

The Knights (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Peru (Peru, IN). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 12-10 record. In their last match, Peru was nipped by Wabash (Wabash, IN), 57-55, in a league match.

With the defeat, Homestead moves to 12-12 on the year. The Spartans travel to Huntington North (Huntington, IN) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 27. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 7-16. Huntington North lost 82-45 in their recent non-league match against Kokomo (Kokomo, IN)
