South Bend Clay Colonials (South Bend, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN), 68-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Bend Clay upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign.

Next up, the Slicers play the Mishawaka Cavemen (Mishawaka, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. La Porte will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Cavemen come into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 57-55 non-league win over South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN).
