In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Wagner Thunderbirds basketball team scored a tight 52-46 triumph over the Southwest Dragons.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds meet the Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 26. Wagner will attempt to better on its 23-11 season record. The Chargers enter the match with a 31-5 record after their 40-36 non-league win over Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX).

With the defeat, Southwest moves to 31-4 on the year.
