February 23, 2024: Forsyth, GA 31029 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA) and the visiting Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA), saw Mary Persons's soccer squad triumph over Jones County by a count of 9-0.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Pike County for a 3A Area 2 test on Tuesday, February 27. Mary Persons will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Jones County drops to 1-4 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA) to meet the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-3. Peach County won 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Rutland (Macon, GA)
