In Monday's non-league game, the visiting McClatchy Lions baseball team scored a close 9-3 triumph over the Davis Sr. Blue Devils.

With the triumph, McClatchy advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Lions host Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA) to battle the Lancers in a Metropolitan Conference match on Wednesday, February 25.
