Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host McDonough Warhawks (McDonough, GA), 21-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Jonesboro upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, February 25. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 3-1. Fayette County won 11-8 in their recent non-league test against Jackson (Atlanta, GA)

With the defeat, McDonough falls to 0-2 on the season. The Warhawks travel to Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a AAAA Region 5 game on Monday, March 1. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 1-1.
