Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), 10-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Berkeley Prep upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Buccaneers host Lakeland (Lakeland, FL) to battle the Dreadnaughts in a non-league test on Saturday, February 26. The Dreadnaughts come into the test with a record of 2-0. Lakeland won 8-4 in their recent non-league test against South Lake (Groveland, FL)

With the defeat, River Ridge falls to 0-2 on the season. The Royal knights host Countryside (Clearwater, FL) to battle the Cougars in a 5A District 5 test on Tuesday, March 1. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 2-1. Countryside won 12-2 in their recent non-league game against Pinellas Park (Largo, FL)
