In Thursday's non-league match, the host Parkwood Wolf Pack basketball team scored a tight 46-39 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.

In their next game, the Wolf Pack meet the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 26. Parkwood will attempt to move on its 22-6 season record. The Black Hawks enter the match with a 21-6 record after their 70-53 non-league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC).

With the defeat, Ashe County moves to 17-10 on the year.
