The Hertford County Bears topped the visiting Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team by a final score of 54-44 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bears face the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (Roanoke Rapids, NC) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 26. Hertford County will attempt to move on its 23-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 16-2 record after their 60-40 non-league win over N.C. School of Science & Math (Durham, NC).

With the defeat, Fairmont moves to 16-10 on the year.
